Edinburgh
September 20, 1999

The Scottish midfield will be dramatically bolstered on Tuesday when the Five Nations Champions take on Glasgow Caledonians in their latest warm up game.
Gregor Townsend has made a sufficient enough recover from a knee operation at the beginning of the month to reclaim the number 10 shirt. Outside him Kiwi John Leslie (pictured) has returned from his club in Japan and will take his place alongside James Mayer, who comes in place of Alan Tait. Tait is rested after twisting his ankle in last week's match against Edinburgh Reivers.
In the front row Lion Tom Smith makes a return at loose-head after having to withdraw prior to last week's game because of a back spasm.
