Fiji lose Matson for tournament

Fiji's French based centre Tabai Matson is out of the World Cup after picking up a calf injury in training.
Matson was not included in Brad Johnston's side, named today, for the opener against Namibia tomorrow and it was later confirmed that the was having to withdraw from the squad.
"The World Cup is over for Matson. He was ruled out when he didn't pass a fitness test," said team official Gary Cunningham. A possible replacement is Eremodo Tuni who plays for Bourgoin. Cunningham said that Tuni was due to platy a French championship game at the weekend and a decision would be taken after that match.
Seven's star Waisale Serevi has been preferred at fly half to Nicky Little, who was number one choice during L'Aquilla tournament in Italy last month. Waikato Chiefs Super-12 player Apisai Naevo, is preferred at blindside flanker to former Wallaby Ilivasi Tabua.
