Johnson predicts England win
September 30, 1999

Martin Johnson believes that England can be the first Northern Hemisphere side to lift the Webb Ellis Trophy.
The England captain claimed "We can deal with anyone, we have the belief that we can do it and now we have to go out and prove it."
Johnson, who was in the England side that lost at the semi-final stage in 1995 believes his side are in their best possible shape and will be a match for the Southern Hemisphere sides.
"This team has played more of the Southern Hemisphere teams in the last two years than the 1995 team had played in 10 years. We are not concerned with how we go out and win, the important thing is that we win the games."
Johnson's side has been lifted by the news that Jeremy Guscott has recovered from the groin strain that has kept him on the bench for Saturday's game against Italy.
"It has been a huge boost for the side to have Jerry back. We have a great squad but there is no doubt that Jerry is a key man and it is a massive boost just before the tournament starts."
