Caputo makes quick move from Bedford
Worcester
October 12, 1999

Premiership Two leaders Worcester today signed Australian international hooker Marco Caputo from crisis-club Bedford.
The 28-year-old, who has won five caps and made a record 98 appearances for Super 12 side ACT Brumbies, has agreed terms with Worcester until the end of this season.

Bedford recruited Caputo last month, but the Goldington Road outfit have been subject of merger speculation with Coventry, and Premiership bosses English Rugby Partnership postponed Sunday's scheduled league match with Newcastle as a result of the present situation.

Worcester chief executive Geoff Cooke said: "We were originally interested in Marco some time ago, so it was a bonus when he became unexpectedly available due to Bedford's recent problems."
