Rod Macqueen has made three changes from the side that started the crucial pool game against Ireland for the quarter final against Wales next Saturday.
Veteran hooker Michael Foley wins the race to replace the injured Phil Kearns, while the fit again Matt Cockbain returns, and former Springbok Tiann Strauss (pictured) deputises for the suspended Toutai Kefu.
Jim Williams has also been included as an extra replacement as doubts continue over the fitness of former captain David Wilson who twisted an ankle in training.
Macqueen said the choice of Foley ahead of Jeremy Paul and of Strauss were quite straightforward. "Foles is a very experienced player and while Jeremy Paul is a hooker of the future, in these big games you can't beat experience,'' said the coach. "Tiaan has been around a long time, he's been involved all through our build-up and seemed the logical choice."
