The Wallabies have unveiled a new jersey in partnership with ASICS, though the new strip is largely similar to its pre-Rugby World Cup edition of last year.

The 2016 strip features a new neckline with white piping, a nod to past jerseys, and silicon gripper pads on the front to enhance players' grip.

ASICS have also retained the best "technical elements" of the World Cup jersey, specifically the light weight fabric in a streamlined cut to give the players a more tapered fit.

The jersey was launched as part of a new ASICS campaign "Want it more".

"I love the new jersey," Wallabies superstar Israel Folau said.

"It fits well, the material feels great and I'm impressed with the new cut. The colours and style are also a throwback to jerseys from the past...I think everyone is going to love it.

"The theme of this year's TV campaign 'Want it More' is perfect for our squad.

"We know that as a playing group, the harder we work both as individuals and as a team the more we can achieve."

The Wallabies will wear the jersey for the first time in the opening Test against England at Suncorp Stadium on June 11.
