Burke confident of Wallaby performance
October 22, 1999

Australian full back Matthew Burke believes tomorrow is the time for the Australians to throw off their casual approach and post their credentials as title contenders.
Burke said the current squad is noticeably more relaxed than the 1995 side and coach Rod Macqueen has admitted his side's casual attitude can at times drive him to distraction on the training field, but Burke says the players will all be fully focussed at the Millennium Stadium.
"In 1995 we were all aware we were defending our title," Burke said. "At the moment, the guys are pretty relaxed. I think the guys are doing pretty well. We're past that pool stage now and the enthusiasm is starting to pick up."
"We know the consequences - if you lose, you're out. It's certainly upping the ante."
