Powell resigns from Bridgend hot seat
October 26, 1999

Brian Powell who has only been Director of Rugby at Bridgend since last season has resigned his post.
He had brought John Devreaux and Richard Webster to the club over the past months but with only three wins from their eight Welsh/Scottish league games Powell has admitted there is nothing more he can do for the side.

His decision came the 22-14 defeat against Neath last Sunday and the club have formally thanked him for his work over the last 18 months. They added that a successor would be named in the near future.

Paul Turner, who recently quit Bedford, is though to be one of the high calibre names in the running for the post.
