Fiji national coach and former All Black Brad Johnstone is to continue in his job until a suitable replacement is found in the New Year.
Johnstone who was to return to New Zealand when his contract expired in December has revealed that he will be continuing in the job until the Epson Cup Pacific Rim tournament.
National team members have backed Johnstone's call that an overseas coach is brought in to take charge of the national team.
"We need an overseas coach, preferably a Super 12 coach, who knows the level of professionalism and one who knows the standard that is out there," skipper Greg Smith said.
"Local coaches are different, they think that the longer you stay on the ground training, the fitter you'll get. They don't realise that this is not so anymore," No.8 Koli Sewabu added.
