Fijian prop Joeli Veitayaki is set to sign for Ulster in the next few weeks as the European Champions beef up their pack before this season's competition gets underway.
The Irish province have been looking to add another prop to their squad since the start of the season and Chief Executive Michael Reid has confirmed that the World Cup player is close to signing

"Everything is in place for him. As far as we are concerned it's done and dusted. All we need now is for the player to put pen to paper.

"Joeli has agreed verbally that he will be joining up with us. So now we are just awaiting formal ratification."

As yet it has not been confirmed which club in the All Ireland league will get Veitayaki's services, but in the top three divisions only Division one Dungannon and Division two Malone do not have an overseas player registered. An other option may be Division four side Bangor.
