Smith agrees deal with Edinburgh
November 2, 1999

Fijian World Cup captain Greg Smith has agreed terms with the Scottish district Edinburgh Reivers and is seeking a release from the New Zealand and Waikato rugby unions in time to play for the Reivers in the European Cup.
Unless he is registered by Friday, November 12, Smith will be ineligible to play for the Reivers' when they open their European campaign against Grenoble on the 20th November.

Smith was an outstanding performer in his country's recent World Cup campaign and the 25-year-old hooker has now won 22 caps for his country.
