Kronfeld and Umaga look to the future
November 4, 1999
Two stars of All Black rugby have made decisions that will affect their respective futures in the game.
Josh Kronfeld has confirmed that his playing career in New Zealand will conclude at the end of the 2000 season. His contract with the NZRFU will expire at that time.
He is undecided about the direction his playing career will take after that , but has expressed firm interest in playing in either France or Japan.
Meanwhile, Tana Umaga has announced that he has signed another year's contract with the NZRFU ( which will take him through until the end of 2000). This means that he will have to return to New Zealand, and face a rugby public less than happy with his last performance in the tournament.
