Injury worries for Toulouse
November 12, 1999
Toulouse, drawn alongside bath and Swansea in the European Cup could be without three key players in the early stages of the competition.
French World Cup full back Xavier Garbajosa injured his shoulder in the final against Australia and will be out for at least four months, forcing him to miss the pool stages of the European tournament.
They have also worries in the front row where props Cedric Soulette and Christian Califano will both miss key pool games.
Soulette suffered a neck injury in the epic French World Cup semi final win and although he played in the final is now receiving treatment and could miss the first few European matches.
Califano meanwhile is forced to miss the first three games as he serves the ban he received for head butting during the World Cup.
