Hunter says no to All Black job
Auckland
November 13, 1999

Auckland Blues' coach Gordon Hunter, a plausible candidate for the job vacated by John Hart, has ruled himself out of the All Black coaching position.
Hunter, who is an All Black selector and a respected ex- Otago NPC and Otago Highlanders Super 12 coach, seems to have decided that the Blues' job is more deserving of his attention at this time.
He was appointed at the conclusion of the 1999 Super 12 season and is seen as the man most likely to repair the damage following Jed Rowlands' disastrous season in charge, when internal strife and lack of on-field direction cost the Blues dearly.
