The Argentinean Rugby Union have withdrawn from next years Epson Cup programme after failing to reach agreement with the IRB over sponsorship and financial regulations.
The UAR's General Manager, Mr. Juan José Hernández, confirmed the decision, saying that Argentina's already agreed sponsorship contracts would be compromised by the competitions regulations.
The IRB request that teams in the competition must be clean of any sponsorship on their kits.
He said that the VISA credit card company have a 3 year contract as Pumas main sponsors, and they were not prepared to play the six games without their shirts carrying the VISA logo.
