Fijian exodus to NZ?

Fijian World Cup winger Marika Vunibaka, sent off in the game against Canada, has signed a two -year contract with Canterbury and is expected to become part of the Super 12 and provincial squad in the new year.

2 other Fijian players who appered in the World Cup , Imanueli Tiko and Koli Sewabu , are expected to sign shortly for the Buck Shelford coached NPC side North Harbour.

The Fiji Rugby Union, in agreeing to release Vunibaka, wishes him to be available for the Epson Cup in 2000. He has been withdrawn from the Fijian sevens squad as there will be clashes between the Super 12 and the upcoming IRB sevens circuit.
