November 29, 1999
By Pablo Mamone 1999 RWC Golden Boot Gonzalo Quesada, argentinean fly half, is going to have surgery today in an attempt to resolve a very old problem in his groin.
Speedy Gonzalo has been waiting for offers from professional rugby clubs after his perfomance in the tournament, but through lack of serious offers, he has decided to undergo surgery before Christmas.
"I will stay 2 days at the hospital and then 4 weeks working to recover my injury. After the RWC I wait for any proposals, but after one month I decide to be OK for the approaching southern hemisphere season. I would like to be fit by the first of February." Quesada said.
Fly half of the Hindú Club in Buenos Aires, Gonzalo Quesada scored 102 points for the Pumas in the 1999 Rugby World Cup.
