Paterson fails in fitness battle

Scotland international Chris Paterson has failed to recover from a twisted knee sustained on Sevens duty in Dubai last week and only makes the bench for Edinburgh Reivers' Heineken Cup trip to Northampton on Saturday.
Alan Tait takes Paterson's place at outside centre as the Scottish Super District bid to maintain their 100% record in the competition.
Full-back Derrick Lee and back-row forward Cammie Mather are both back in action after recovering from neck injuries which kept them out of the Welsh/Scottish league win over Caerphilly last Sunday and are named in a Reivers line-up which includes nine Scottish Internationals.
