Newport halt Jones-Hughes 'loan'
Newport

Jason Jones-Hughes has been denied the chance to get extra match practice by linking up with a club in a lower division.
The recently signed Australian is ineligible for the European Shield and had hoped that the club would let him play in the Welsh First Division on European weekends.
The centre believed dropping a division would help him to win a Welsh place for the Six Nations championship but Newport have decided that the risk of an injury would be too great.
Therefore Jones-Hughes will be limited to a maximum of three league and two cup games before Wales' Championship opener with France on 5th February.
