December 11, 1999

In the aftermath of South Sydney's acrimonious expulsion from the National Rugby League this week, a sizeable group of players are seeking employment elsewhere.

One such is young star Craig Wing, who has a rugby union background and played for the Australian Schoolboys in 1997.

The schoolboys' side has a fine record of developing players who go on to senior test honours.Australian RFU Managing Director John O'Neill has confirmed that his union are interested in Wing , "We are aware there is considerable interest in Craig from other rugby league clubs. We would love to see him sign with union."
