Pontypridd's backs coach Steele Lewis has claimed that his sides inspirational scrum half Paul John has still much to offer at International level.
"Paul has been absolutely brilliant this season. He would be the first to admit his form dipped last season, but he's back - with a bang," said Lewis in a newspaper interview.
John, who has revelled in leading the side this season won the last of his 10 Welsh caps in the heavy defeat by South Africa in 1998 and Lewis has urged national coach Graham Henry to come and watch the player. "I would like to see Graham Henry look at Paul, because he is an intelligent player who leads from the front. He thrives on responsibility."
The Welsh league leaders tonight face a critical game in their European campaign against star studded Saracens, with defeat likely to end either sides chances of making the knock out stages.
