Former Wales and British Lions flyhalf Phil Bennett has been injured in a car crash and is recovering in hospital, police said on Sunday.
They said Bennett, 51, was believed to have been a passenger in a car that crashed between Swiss Valley and Llanelli in west Wales. He was taken to Prince Philip hospital in Llanelli.
Police said no other vehicles were involved in the accident. It was hoped he would be released from hospital late on Sunday. A hospital spokesperson said his injuries were not serious.
Bennett was a key member of the great Wales' side of the 1970s, winning 37 caps between 1969-78. He also represented the British Lions in South Africa and New Zealand.
