Although replaced in Monday's defeat by Bridgend Scott Quinnell is confident of being fit for Saturday's European Cup trip to Bourgoin.
The Welsh No8 received a kick mid-way through the second half but has suffered no adverse reaction and will be fully fit by the weekend. The side's only other injury worry, prop Phil Booth, received stitches to a gash under his eye after the Bridgend game but should also be fit to take his place on Saturday.
Despite the narrow defeat at the Brewery Field the Scarlets are confident of being able to produce the first ever Welsh European Cup win in France. "This game is very important to us and I believe we have got a side capable of getting the right result," said team manager Anthony Buchanan
Assistant coach Nigel Davies has also urged the players to forget the surprise league defeat as they prepare for the visit to the French Alps.
"It is important we react to this in the right way," he said. "We have only got a couple of days to turn things around, so it is important that we forget the domestic league and concentrate fully on Europe. We have got ourselves into a pretty strong position to go through to the quarter-finals. Bourgoin is not going to be easy so it is crucial that we remain focused."
