Fijian Felimoni Delasau scored 10 tries in 3 games and looks likely to be the top try scorer of the Punta del Este 2000 International Sevens Tournament that will finish around midnight Saturday in the exciting summer city of Uruguay, writes Pablo Mamone.

Delasau had fabulous performances in easy Fijian victories against Canada by 32-12 (scoring 4), Paraguay by 61-0 (2) and France by 47-0 (4) during the first day of the third stage of the World Sevens Series. Players like the "Wizard" Waisale Serevi, former all black Eric Rush and Argentinean Gustavo Piergentili were other stars during the competition on Friday night in front of 10,000 spectators.

Fiji was the best team by far followed by New Zealand and Argentina, while Canada, Uruguay and Samoa won the runners-up places in their respective groups. The big surprise of the tournament was the victory of Chile over South Africa by 28-21, although Chile were unable to reach the quarterfinals. Chile, Australia and South Africa were tied for first position of their group, but the South Americans had the worst points average.
