Scotland's first squad session in preperation for the Lloyds TSB Six Nations Championship was disrupted by injuries to key players.
Three players took no part in the session at Murrayfield on Monday evening. Winger Cameron Murray (shoulder) and back-row forwards Gordon Simpson (sternum) and Peter Walton (back) were all sidelined from the workout.
Scotland Doctor Ken MacKenzie said the damage to Murray's left shoulder - sustained in Edinburgh Reivers' Heineken Cup loss to Grenoble - would be reassessed today allowing time for the inflammation to go down.
Gavin Scott, the Glasgow Caledonians hooker, also sat out the Scotland A session with a knee injury, while two backs, Derrick Lee (shoulder) and Jon Stuart (knee), took a limited part in the session.
