Steel to miss Italian job
February 1, 2000

Northampton winger Jonathan Steel has been forced to pull out of the Scotland Under-21 side to face Italy on Friday.

Steel has suffered a hamstring injury, so his place will be taken by Hawick's Keith Davidson, although Bruce Ruthven of Melrose will switch from the left wing to the right.

Last season's Scotland Under-19 skipper Rory Cooper takes the vacant berth on the replacements' bench.
