Fiji triumphant in Wellington Sevens

Fiji beat New Zealand 24-14 in front of 30,000 fans tonight to take a clear lead in the World Sevens Series. Fiji comprehensively defeated New Zealand 24-14 tonight, 2 tries apiece for Vunibaka and Delasau proving decisive. They took a 5 point lead into the half time break and never looked like being headed in the second half. The power , pace and tactical excellence of the Fijians could not be matched by the New Zealanders , for whom Muliana and Te Nana scored tries. Fiji will now look forward with confidence to next weekend's sixth round of the World Series which will be held in Suva. |
