Lomu Wellington debut imminent
February 7, 2000

New Zealand superstar Jonah Lomu, who transferred to Wellington in the close season, after playing for Counties-Manukau in the NPC and Waikato Chiefs in the Super 12, is set to make his Wellington Hurricanes' debut in Masterton on Saturday.

Lomu, who was probably the pick of the All Blacks at the World Cup, displayed indifferent form at last weekend's Wellington sevens and will be looking forward to getting back to 15 a side action against the Brumbies who lost their first warm-up match in New Zealand on Sunday to the Chiefs in Mount Manganui 34-14.

Both Lomu and Christian Cullen will rejoin their Hurricanes team mates at the Wellington Police College on Tuesday.
