All Black hopeful Miller out for month
February 9, 2000

Otago Highlanders' No. 8 Paul Miller will miss the start of the Super 12 campaign after suffering knee ligament damage. Miller was injured in the pre-season match against the Hurricanes in Hastings last Thursday and the Highlanders are trying to sort out with the NZRFU a replacement.

Miller is likely to be out of action for between 4-6 weeks. This will be a frustration to him because he is among a group of hopefuls vying for the No.8 position in the All Blacks test line up. Ron Cribb and Dylan Mika are the others, although it is not yet clear what Taine Randell's intentions are this season.
