Jason Jones-Hughes will make his first appearance in a Wales A side when he joins Leigh Davies at centre for the Six Nations Championship clash with Italy A at Ebbw Vale on Friday night.
The Newport centre, dropped by Wales after the 36-3 defeat to France, is one of two changes from the A side that kicked off the defence of their title with a 30-27 win over the French in Wrexham.
The other change to Paul John's side comes in the front row where Llanelli's John Davies takes over from Swansea's Ben Evans at tight-head prop.
The Italians were the only side to beat Wales A last year, winning 24-23, and John's men will be keen to take their revenge.
