Former All Blacks and Pumas coach Alex Wyllie will travel to Argentina next month looking to tempt young players to join the Irish club Clontarf, where he has been working since last October.

Wyllie, who lead the succesfull Argentine campaign during the last RWC, told Scrum.com, "I 'm looking for players who have a european passport with an intention to play professional rugby in Ireland".

Many Argentineans have Spanish or Italian parents and for them it is easy to gain a european passport and team entry without infringing upon the foreign players vacancy ruling.

Wyllie didn't give any names, but said that he need reinforcements in all positions.

His knowledge of Argentine rugby extends to more than the Pumas team. He also has worked with the up and coming new generation of players including the twins Felipe (flyhalf) and Manuel (fullback) Contempomi, also Martin Gaitan (centre), Ignacio Corleto (wing) and Martin Durand (flankers). Wyllie supported these players during his work with the Pumas and helped them to reach national team standard.

"Clontarf have lost several players since last year and have failed to make a good start this season (playing four and losing four). So I am trying to build a good team for next year, but it is absolutely necessary take the first step now" Wyllie said.

Pichot, Simone (Bristol) Méndez, Scelzo (Northampton) and Grau (Saracens) are Pumas ambassadors in England. Arbizu (Brive), Albanese (Grenoble), Bartolucci, Hasan (Agen), Reggiardo (Castres) y Quesada (Narbonne) in France. Ruiz (Parma) and Camardón (Roma) in Italy. Will be Ireland the next Pumas destination ?
