Brad Johnstone has made two changes to the squad that beat Scotland a fortnight ago in Rome.
Lock Carlo Checchinato moves from second row to flanker in place of former skipper Massimo Giovanelli out due to an eye injury. In comes Peppino Lanzi who played four minutes against Scotland as temporary replacement for number eight Wim Visser. Centre Manuel Dallan is also out. He dislocated a shoulder in training for Treviso and will be replaced by London Irish Marco Rivaro who substituted Manuel's brother Denis in the second half of the game with Scotland.
Italy and Wales met eleven months ago in Treviso when Wales won 60-21 - eight changes have been made to the Italian team since that match compared to Wales's four.
