Scotland latest injury worry before Saturday's meeting with Ireland concerns second row Scott Murray.
The Saracens player was accidentally trodden on at the end of training on Wednesday, leaving him with a nasty bruise on the top of his foot.
Coach Ian McGeechan is so concerned over Murray's condition that he has arranged for Jason White to be flown back from Ireland, where he was preparing for tomorrow's A international, to train with the Scottish party in Edinburgh on Thursday.
A final decision will be taken on Murray's fitness on Friday morning but if he does miss out veteran Newcastle star Doddie Weir will be pushed up from the replacements' bench, with White taking the vacant berth.
Murray's absence would be another huge blow for McGeechan, who has seen his Six Nations plans ripped apart by injury.
Winger Cammie Murray is out for the season with a shoulder problem, while skipper John Leslie was omitted from the side named by McGeechan on Thursday morning.
