Top Romanian official quits

The general secretary of the Romanian Rugby Union Federation (FRR), Sorin Fuicu, resigned on Tuesday over alleged financial irregularities.

"Fuicu resigned after the FRR board recently discovered financial irregularities in some transfers of players," FRR president Dumitru Mihalache told Reuters.

Mihalache said the FRR had asked a Sport Ministry commission to investigate the case.
