Waratahs' lock Welborn cited for alleged trampling

New South Wales Waratahs' lock John Welborn will appear before a South African Rugby Football Union (SARFU) disciplinary hearing in Cape Town on Tuesday, SARFU announced on Monday.
Welborn was cited for two incidents of alleged trampling during the second
half of the Super 12 match between the Waratahs and the Western Stormers in
Cape Town on Saturday. The Stormers won 22-15.
He is charged with transgressing Law 26 (3b) relating to trampling an opponent lying on the ground. The hearing, to be chaired by well known Cape Town attorney Alan Butler, will take place at the SARFU headquarters in Newlands on Tuesday afternoon.
