Montferrand coach resigns

Victor Boffelli, coach of French Elite division club Montferrand and 1999 European Shield champions, resigned on Monday after just two years in the post because of disagreements over tactics with his players.
Boffelli, a former French international backrow forward who played club rugby with Aurillac, led the club to the French Championship final last year but said he was simply fed up with internal wrangling at the club. "I am fed up with the behaviour of certain players and criticism directed
at the teams' style of play," he said.
The club, who thrashed Nimes 48-10 on Sunday, are currently in sixth place in pool 2 of the Elite division and are scheduled to play Toulouse in the quarter-finals of the European Cup on April 15.
