Munster prepare for European Challenge
April 5, 2000

The Munster squad assembled in County Cork yesterday to begin their 10-day preparation for the European Cup quarter-final against Stade Francais on April 15th.
That preparation includes, this Saturday, a warm up game against Leicester at Welford road - but as yet Declan Kidney has not named his squad for the match. However there appear to be no casualties from last Saturday's International defeat by Wales. "Everything appears to be fine," said manager Brian O'Brien. "Of course, our long break since qualifying for the quarter-finals has been a concern but you only make it a bigger concern by going on about it. We just have to accept that it's a fact of life and get on with things."
Leicester coach Dean Richards is expected to name a near full strength side including many of his international stars, among them Ireland 'A' player Geordan Murphy.
As a result of Munster's game at Leicester, the AIB All Ireland League games between Shannon and Cork Constitution and Garryowen and Young Munster, scheduled for the weekend, have been postponed.
