Maka and Holten in for Chiefs, Muir and Tukino out
April 19, 2000

Despite their big win over the BullstThe Chiefs have reshuffled their team as they prepare to face the Highlanders at the House of Pain. .

Isitolo Maka has recovered from the knee cyst problem that sidelined him against the Bulls last weekend to take his place against the Highlanders on Thursday evening.

Deon Muir, who replaced Maka, is unlucky to lose his place but Maka was always likely to return against the side which failed to renew his contract in 2000 after 34 games in Super 12.

The loss of outstanding flanker Koula Tukino is a blow to the Chiefs but his replacement Nick Holten, who has played World Cup rugby for Holland, is a very fine player who has also been sidelined because of injury.

Lock Mark Cooksley, an All Black against the 1993 Lions, and wing James Kerr, who scored a try in the Crusaders' final triumph against the Blues in 1998, have been named amongst the substitutes.
