Fiji send depleted sevens squad to Paris

Clash with Epson Cup commitments hits player availability.

Fiji's preparations for the final World Sevens circuit tournament in Paris later this month have been affected by the needs of the XVs squad preparing for the opening matches of the Epson Cup tournament. Of the players who were in the squad which won the Japan round, five are unavailable - Jope Tuikabe, Seru Rabeni, Seremaia Bai and Sirilo Lala are in Greg Smith's Xvs squad and Seta Tawake has returned to Australian club rugby. One of the stars of the sevens circuit, Vilimoni Delasau, is still troubled by a knee injury and will miss the tournament.The full sevens squad is :

Waisale Serevi, Vili Satala, Temesia Kaumaia, Fero Lasagavibau, Apolosi Satala, Samu Saumaisue, Aminiasi Naituyaga, Inoke Maraiwai, Manasa Bari, Jonetani Vula, Aporosa Davucu, Noa Soqeta, Jo Vatu, Josefa Vunisa, Vuniani Derenalagi, Taniela Qauqau, Lalai Driu, Apisai Naro, Semisi Naevo.
