Maka set for Toulouse

All Black number eight Isitolo Maka looks set to join French Champions Stade Toulouse from the Waikato Chiefs after the club announced on Monday that talks about personal terms were well advanced.

"A final decision will be made in the next 48 hours," announced the clubs head recruiting executive Jean-Michel Rancoule. "We have been interested in the player for several weeks," he added.

The 25-year-old, capped four times, was in Toulouse last weekend with his wife and met with club officials with the view to a permanent move."We have been forced to move quickly as a result of Sylvain Dispagne's serious right ankle injury which will keep him out for at least three months," Rancoule said.
