Crotty returns for Ireland
June 14, 2000

Ireland have made 10 changes to the team which trounced the United States 83-3 on Saturday for this weekend's clash against Canada in Toronto.

Munster's Dominic Crotty returned to the starting line-up as fullback after a three-year absence, ousting Leicester's Geordan Murphy.

Lansdowne winger Shane Horgan, who missed the U.S. game, replaced James Topping and Ballynahinch's Andy Ward came in for Garryowen flanker David Wallace.

Ireland, hit by a string of injuries after a bruising 30-31 defeat by the Barbarians in late May, narrowly lost the first test against Argentina, opening game of their three-match tour of the Americas.

Team: 15-Dominic Crotty, 14-Shane Horgan, 13-Mike Mullins, 12-Kevin Maggs, 11-Justin Bishop, 10-David Humphreys, 9-Peter Stringer, 8-Anthony Foley, 7-Andy Ward, 6-Simon Easterby, 5-Jeremy Davidson, 4-Michael Galwey, 3-John Hayes, 2-Keith Wood, 1-Justin Fitzpatrick.
