Former All Black and current Manu Samoa test centre Vaiga Tuigamala has appealed for the All Blacks to assist in the development of the game in the Pacific Islands by touring there.

Speaking on radio in New Zealand Tuigamala said that any islander would regard a visit to the islands as the ultimate honour that could be bestowed by the NZRFU.He claimed that were the All Blacks to play in Tonga they would not be able to repeat their victory of a week ago, 102-0. He was speaking just after Manu Samoa had come up against Tongan pride and passion during Samoa's surprise loss to Tonga in the Epson Cup at the weekend.

Quite why the All Blacks have so rarely ventured into the Islands is something of a mystery and would give an obvious boost to the development of the game in the region.
