Cashmore the next target for the NZRFU
July 30, 2000

Following the signature of Carlos Spencer for another three years the NZRFU have set their sights on Adrian Cashmore and Andrew Blowers.

Spencer turned his back on a lucrative offer from the Leicester Tigers in England to sign for Auckland and New Zealand and it is hoped Cashmore and Blowers will be convinced to follow suit.

Auckland coach Wayne Pivac says they've begun negotiations with Cashmore but admits, like Spencer, it'll take time to get his signature.

Meanwhile, former All Black Isitolo Maka has won a release from his NZRFU contract and will join French club Toulouse in two weeks.
