Exiles check out Tongan trialists

London Irish have Tongan and Hong Kong international back Isi Toivai on trial.

The 30-year-old plays at both centre and wing and was in the weekend's Middlesex Sevens squad.

If the former North Harbour player impresses he will be offered an extended contract with Exiles.

London Irish are preparing for their first game of the season against former landlords NEC Harlequins at the Stoop.
