The ACT Brumbies have won the race for South African-born lock Dan Vickerman.

The Australian Under 21 representative was targeted by the Stormers, but has chosen to sign a three-year contract with the Brumbies.

Vickerman has been in outstanding form for club side Sydney University, who this weekend meet Randwick in the Sydney grand final.

"Following the loss of Troy Jaques we've signed David Pusey and Dan Vickerman to help strengthen our depth in the forwards," Brumbies coach Eddie Jones said. "Vickerman is a good strong player and has had an extremely successful year with Sydney Uni."

In other signings for the Brumbies, Training Contract player Angus Scott has signed for two years, and flanker des Tuiavii for one year.

"Angus was on a training contract this season and we are looking for him to play either tight head, or loose head prop next year," Jones said. "Des Tuiavii had limited opportunities this year but has once again shown, by coming second in the Sydney competition best and fairest, that he is a player we are very keen to develop."
