Marsh latest New Zealand export to Japan

Counties-Manukau skipper Glen Marsh is the latest New Zealander to pick up a lucrative contract in Japan.

Marsh, a fine open side flanker whose twin brother Tony plays in France, failed to make the recent New Zealand A tour to Europe, and has come to the conclusion that representative honours are unlikely to come his way if he remains in New Zealand.

He has signed with the NEC club as a replacement for former All Black Liam Barry who is believed to be about to return to New Zealand rugby. He recently appeared for the Pacific Barbarians against the All Blacks and showed fine early form before an injury forced his retirement from the game.
