Wellington Sevens semi final fixtures

After an early afternoon of surprising results the semi finalists are now known.

After beating World Champions New Zealand 19-17, Fiji will play the Cook Islands, who themselves upset Samoa, 10-7. Australia, having disposed of Argentina 26-17, will play USA , who squeezed home against Canada, 12-10.

New Zealand will have to be content with playing Samoa in the semi final of the Plate Championship , and Argentina will be up against Canada in the other.

In the Bowl, Wales play Tonga and South Africa play England.In the Shield, China play Japan and Papua New Guinea play Niue.
