Cats stay the same

Cats coach Laurie Mains has decided not to tamper with his winning combination from last weekend's game against the Sharks. On Friday he announced the same starting line-up for Sunday's game against the Chiefs in Rotorua.

Concerns about the weather - it seems rain could make playing conditions very difficult - have led Mains to bracket centre Eugene Meyer and loose forward Piet Krause on the substitutes' bench. The former All Black coach will wait until Sunday before making his decision.

Cats: Thinus Delport; Wylie Human, Grant Esterhuizen, Japie Mulder, Dean Hall; Louis Koen, Werner Swanepoel; Andre Vos, Andre Venter, Johan Erasmus (capt), Jannes Labuschagne, Johan Ackermann, Willie Meyer, Leon Boshoff, Marius Mostert. Substitutes: Andre van Niekerk, 7 Pietman van Niekerk, Piet Krause/Eugene Meyer, Kleinjan Tromp, Chester Williams, Clinton van Rensburg, Chad Alcock.
