Brumbies' Harrison fined $2000
May 10, 2001

Brumbies lock Justin Harrison was fined $2000 for his involvement in an incident in Dunedin following the side's Super 12 clash against the Highlanders on Friday, April 20.

Harrison originally appealed against a one-match suspension and fine of a month's pay.

The ACT Rugby Union appeals committee considered all the facts that were not available at the time of the original disciplinary hearing.

The committee found Harrison had acted in a disorderly manner, and fined him an amount ten times the fine imposed on Harrison by the Dunedin local court for the same incident.

ACT Rugby Union General Manager Mark Sinderberry said the matter was now closed.

Harrison is free to play in Friday's crucial Super 12 clash against the Chiefs in Canberra with the Brumbies needing to win to secure a home semi-final.
