Noriega and McRae drafted in by WA

Prop Patricio Noriega and fly-half Duncan McRae have been drafted into the Western Australia squad ahead of their clash with the Lions on June 8.

Western Australian officials were on stand-by to include Ben Tune, one of the most prolific try-scoring wings in world rugby, against the Lions, but he is battling to regain full fitness following a recent injury.

Noriega, 29, recently returned to Australia after a stint playing with French champions Stade Francais. McRae appeared for Saracens in the Zurich Premiership this season but has since left the club.

"The Wallabies management want to see these guys play, although we don't think that Ben Tune is going to feature. It is highly unlikely," said Western Australia spokesman Russell McKinnon.

"Noriega has just returned from France, and McRae from England, and we have asked for them to join our squad next Sunday, ahead of three planned training sessions."

Western Australia have lost all three previous games against the Lions, conceding 175 points.
